Jesus & Symbolic Repentance

Relating to the birth of Jesus, here is an interesting Christmas concept…

THE REPENTANCE OF JESUS ???

Did Jesus repent?

Jesus was perfect. He had no sin, so Jesus needed no repentance. But it seems that he demonstrated the act of repentance to fulfil prophecy.

Let me explain…

The birth of Jesus is in Bible prophecy. Think of Moses, Immanuel, Revelation 12 etc.

Birth is a blessing for God’s people, but it always involves a great struggle and an escape.

  • Jesus escaped King Herod and the slaughter of the innocent.

  • Moses escaped Pharaoh in a little boat, called an “ark”.

  • Noah escaped the flood in a bigger ark.

  • Israel escaped Egypt in the Exodus.

  • Immanuel escaped the King of Assyria. Immanuel means, “God with us.”

  • In Revelation 12 they escaped the dragon or Satan.

There are more examples of birth in Bible prophecy, but what we see is that birth always involves an escape. This is important…

The true birth is the spiritual birth, which involves an escape from the power of sin and death. This requires repentance.

Repentance is a kind of war. It is a flesh spirit struggle as we work to put off the desires of the flesh so that we may live by God’s Spirit in obedience to him (Gal 5v17).

Jesus calls us to follow him, and he shows us the way, but because he is perfect he needed to demonstrate the act of repentance symbolically.

As a baby Jesus escaped King Herod. Symbolically Herod was the dragon in Revelation 12. Then Jesus waited in Egypt for Herod to die.

We are told to put off the old man and put on the new man. (Eph 4v22) We must put to death the sinful nature. (Rom 8v13). This is repentance.

When Herod was dead, “Out of Egypt I called my son.” (Mat 2v15).

The prophets had the nick-name ‘Rahab’ for Egypt, or Pharoah. Rahab was the dragon, the sea monster, the leviathan or storm. (Job 9v13, 26v12, Isaiah 30v7, 51v9-10, Psalm 89v10).

So we have confirmation. Jesus escaped the dragon a second time when he came up out for Egypt.

Jesus escaped the dragon as an infant (twice) to resemble new birth, but he also did it as an adult when he was baptised, and then resisted temptation for 40 days in the wilderness. The number 40 signifies a life long journey. The symbolic meaning here is that the struggle of repentance continues life long.

Having demonstrated repentance symbolically, Jesus began his ministry by preaching, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” (Mat 4v17).

AN END TIMES BIRTH / ACT OF REPENTANCE

Just as Jesus was born with a sign in heaven, now we have seen the signs of birth exactly as described in Revelation 12. On the 23rd of September 2017 the sun, moon and stars alligned in the sky in a perfect resemblance of the birth of Revelation 12v1-2.

The 2017 allignment occurred during the Jewish feast of Trumpets which is when they remember God's call to repentance.

Lets consider the birth of the final generation — not the end, but God's last great call to the world to repent as the end draws near. If this sign proves true, the end times birth is expected about seven years after the 2017 sign, in about the year 2024. (The Seven Year Warning explained.)

The apocalyptic journey of the final generation will be life long and will have symbolic meaning, as it was for Jesus, and also for Israel in the typological examples that God gave in ancient times.

If the end times birth has symbolic meaning, that doesn’t mean it won’t happen in reality. It only means there is a greater truth behind it — the spiritual new birth. Genuine repentance is what’s really needed.

The level of sin and idolatry in our society is reaching extreme levels. We must take an end times birth to heart, and leave behind the excess and fleshly consumption that has consumed our lives. When we respond to God’s call for an exodus, to be sincere we must be careful not to turn back to our old ways.

The symbolic or apocalyptic aspect of the end times birth will be the physical escape by God’s people, and many others too, from a real world wide conflict, the dragon of nuclear war.

This end times battle is described in Daniel 11v36-44. It won’t be the end. As a moment of birth for the final generation it will give us the opportunity to demonstrate the miracle of salvation in which the symbolic act escaping a real war produces real and permanent change, and genuine repentance.

We are told there will be an Elijah figure, or a John the Baptist figure in the last days. As we are about to see, the Pentecost moment at the birth of the final generation will make us ‘one new man’ (Eph 2v15). This voice in the wilderness will be our collective voice, and our end times ministry to the world.

When God says, ‘Out of Egypt I called my son’, the apocalyptic birth will be a real exodus of millions of Christians, and others too — a ‘mixed multitude’ will depart from the cities of the world just prior to the destruction caused by nuclear war.

Jesus was born in Bethlehem.

If we see an American invasion of the Middle East matching the description given in Daniel 11, most likely to begin in 2023, we should prepare a Bethlehem for ourselves, and for as many people as possible.

Bethlehem means “House of Bread” in the Hebrew. So lets plan food, medicine, warm clothes, etc.

Jesus was born in a stable because Joseph and Mary found no room in the Inn.

If millions of people leave the cities just prior to nuclear war, we will be in the same position. So lets make use of farm sheds, barns and stables.

In nativity scenes Jesus is pictured as being born in a stable with the animals. Other Biblical examples of birth confirm this picture:

Noah cared for the animals in the ark.

In Isaiah 7 when Immanuel was born each man kept a young cow and two goats alive during the war while the King of Assyria destroyed the land. Therefore they were able to enjoy curds. God was with them, and gave them curds and honey to eat during the war.

There is much more wisdom in the Scriptures that we will be able to put into practice if, as I expect, we are about to make a real escape from the destruction of nuclear war. A genuine repentance require permanent change to our life style, leaving behind this idolatrous western life. Instead of looking west we should ‘turn’ and look east — not to China, but for the coming of the son of man.

Gifts

The tradition of gift giving at Christmas time and on birthdays connects well with the blessings expected with the end times birth.

The birth of the final generation will be a Pentecost moment with an outpouring of God’s Spirit, and great spiritual gifts as we saw when the church was born. As it was for the first generation of the church, so it shall be for the final generation, because ‘God reveals the end from the beginning’ (Isa 46v10).

Closing Remarks

The births of Jesus and the final generation are rich with symbolic meaning revealed apocalyptically. Like the King Herod moment when Jesus was born, the physical struggle that we see coming in the world today has a deeper meaning. We should consider the flesh spirit struggle of repentance.

Lets seek God’s wisdom on these matters. As the apocalyptic birth draws near we need to be ready for action. Examine the signs of birth. Watch America, Iran and the end times war in Daniel 11v36-44, and God will confirm that the time has come.

If you believe this message is important please share it with others, and begin making real plans for escaping the destruction that nuclear war will cause so that many lives may be saved.

“Let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” (Galations 6v10).

May God bless you with peace of mind and calmness of heart as you test this prophecy.
