The Book of Revelation
The book of Revelation is a prophecy all about Jesus, and the victory he brings both now and when he comes.
“The revelation of Jesus Christ… that is the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ.”— (Rev 1v1-2)
The book fully reveals Jesus. It is the testimony of his life, his life long journey, his whole story, and it has a special pattern:
Birth and Escape,
Life and Ministry,
Death and Resurrection.
The pattern of the life of Jesus is revealed in prophecy throughout the Bible, many times in typology which uses symbolism. The book of Revelation brings together the imagery of these stories and explains the ultimate journey of the final generation.
The diagram below explains the structure of the book, and the system of interpretation — ‘Progressive Parallelism’. The book may be divided into seven cycles, each one a revelation of Jesus in the form: Birth and war, life and ministry, death and resurrection.
Here is a joke: People teaching on the book of Revelation often correct others for incorrectly calling the book “Revelations” (in the plural). They say, “It’s not Revelations, its Revelation!” But actually the plural form is true. As illustrated in the diagram below — we have seven revelations of Jesus!
Prophecy has multiple fulfilments, but always reveals Jesus. The early church fulfilled prophecy. We fulfill prophecy individually by following Jesus spiritually as closely as we can, and the final generation will fulfill prophecy one last time in a special apocalyptic way.
Each time prophecy is fulfilled it reveals the life of Jesus, because Jesus is salvation and salvation is a life long journey.
Today teachers of end times Bible prophecy are often most focused on the end of the testimony, the events surrounding the great tribulation leading up to the final judgement. But we currently have the signs of birth.
Birth and Escape
The Revelation 12 sign of 2017 presents a birth in the sky. The Eclipse Reversal of 2015, and the Biblical Blood Moon Tetrad is recognised as the sign of the dragon (Rev 12v3). They are understood to be Seven Year Warning signs. We are coming to a moment of birth for the final generation, and this means war.
World war three will begin the testimony of the end times, and God’s people will be blessed to make a miraculous escape from that dragon. It is written into prophecy — Jesus escaped King Herod, Moses escaped Pharoah in a little “ark”. The same Hebrew word is used for Noah’s ark, and Noah’s flood resembles world war three.
World war three will not be the end. Jesus makes this very clear in Matthew 24v6-8, and in the parallel passages in Mark 13, and Luke 21. Birth is the beginning of a testimony, and Jesus says the journey of the final generation will be life long.
“I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.” — Mat 24v34.
Therefore we need to be ready for action. We need to make plans to look after each other and as many people as possible so that we may find shelter during the storm that’s coming.
As I write this in January 2023 the war has been running in Ukraine for 11 months, the Iran JCPOA negotiations are looking increasingly dead and the Daniel 11 war looks set to begin in the Middle East most likely sometime this year.
The key prophetic message is the war of Daniel 11v36-44. Here God has revealed how world war three will begin. We need to be alert to war with Iran, and an American invasion of the Middle East as described in these verses until the King Herod moment of destruction in verse 44, nuclear war.
Please work with whoever will listen to prepare for nuclear war and a seven year famine. A third of the worlds population will die in these birth pains, (Revelation 9v15). This will require our full attention.
Noah saved his family in the ark — 8 people. That was good, but Joseph did better. During the world wide famine Joseph saved his family and all of Egypt! What was the difference?
Joseph worked with the government.
In Revelation 12 the woman fled the dragon “on the two wings of a great eagle”. — Rev 12v14.
In Exodus 19 God brought his people out of Egypt “on eagles wings”. — Ex 19v4.
In Exodus 12 the Egyptians helped the Israelites, and “gave them what they asked for.” — Ex 12v36
“Out of Egypt I called my Son.” — Mat 2v15.
Nuclear war will require an exodus from all the cities of the world. As we see nuclear war coming closer Christian leaders will be able to approach political leaders and urge them to support the largest exodus effort since Israel left Egypt, and God will make them “favourably disposed.” — Exodus 12v36.
A “mixed multitude,” (Ex 12v38) came out of Egypt. Both Christians and non-Christians, the more the better will come out of the cities all over the world, and we will camp at the Mount Sinai mountain of nuclear war as the wilderness journey of the final generation begins which will take us all the way to the promised land of the new creation.
The war began on 2/2/22 when the first columns Russian tanks invaded the Donbas in Eastern Ukraine, and Biden announced it as “the beginning of a Russian invasion”.
The white horse goes out first, “a conqueror bent on conquest” — Revelation 6v2.
The Eclipse Reversal of 2015 is now proven to be a true seven year warning sign.
According to a powerful vision that I had in 2015, Donald Trump will return to office and push the nuclear button letting loose the four horses of the apocalypse (Rev 6), and the first 6 trumpets of wrath (Rev 8 & 9). This will happen in about 2024 if the Revelation 12 sign of 2017 proves to be a true seven year warning.
Please study the birth of Jesus with me so that we may know what to do to save many lives from the King Herod conflict of the christ child generation of the last days.
The Life and Ministry
The journey of the final generation during times of world government while a beast rules the world. World war one produced the League of Nations, world war two produced the United Nations, and world war three will produce a whole new beast. But don’t worry, God is with us.
Jesus lived during the time of the Roman Empire, and this is when the life and ministry takes place. So lets prepare to move to the land of Canaan (meaning get out of the cities and move to the country) so that we may be the voice in the wilderness preparing the way for the Lord in the last days.
The ministries of Moses and Elijah were powerful (Revelation 11), and that power will be given to us in the Pentecost moment of the final generation, with blood, fire and billows of smoke.
“To the law and the testimony!” — Isaiah 8v20, (Revelation 12v17).
As we prepare for nuclear war lets make sure we take all the books that we will want to study during the nuclear shut down. Lets be ready to make use of the down time to train each other up in the word so that we may have that powerful ministry that is promised.
Lets learn how to live on the land, how to live by God’s law so that we may have his blessing. Then we will be able to be fruitful and to multiply as God intends.
“Come out of her my people.” — Revelation 18v4.
Sadly I expect we will be a divided Kingdom during those years, north and south. Some living on the land, and some going as captives. Having made a good exodus we will all begin on the land, but the trend will be to drift back to slavery in Egypt, Assyria, or Babylon.
However as people of faith we are one people, and will be made one, the two sticks will be joined together when Jesus returns. God works all things for the good of those who love him.
“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” — Matthew 24v14
The moment of the cross
We are called to take up our cross and follow Jesus. We do this daily as we wage war against the desires of the sinful nature. It is a flesh spirit battle, but there is something physical coming. The great tribulation.
Death and resurrection is physical. “man is destined to die once and after that face judgement.” — Heb 9v27
Before the glories come the sufferings, but “we share in his sufferings in order that we may share in his glory.” — Romans 8v17b. We have a Kingdom to look forward to, and Jesus will reign.
Death is an abomination that causes desolation, but Jesus has paid the price, and taken God’s wrath onto himself so that we may have God’s forgiveness, and gain citizenship in the Kingdom.
The book of Revelation was written to persecuted Christians to encourage them. The final generation will experience the greatest persecution ever since there was a nation, and never to be equalled again. If that time was not cut short no-one would survive, but it will be cut short by Jesus himself when he returns. (Mat 24v15-31, Daniel 12v1-3.
Birth involves an escape from the dragon, the Rahab monster of the deep. It foreshadows a greater battle, and a more glorious victory to be won in the end, through death and resurrection.
As a moment of birth or baptism world war three will be a sign, like Noah’s flood. Jonah in the whale was too. Jonah was spat out safely onto dry ground, but in the last days the beast will come up out of the sea. (Revelation 13v1, 17v8, Daniel 7, and 11v45). There will be a world government in the last days.
When the end comes, “it is time for judgement to begin with the family of God; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God?” — 1 Peter 4v17
The the battle of Armageddon is not the military war that many speculate about involving tanks and bombs. It will actually be a coordinated act of betrayal put into effect by royal decree. It will be a Daniel in the lions den moment, or an Esther in Persia moment. An abomination that causes desolation. A moment of the cross.
Matthew 24v28-31:
Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.29 “Immediately after the distress of those days
“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
This completes the journey of the final generation.
Here is another article on the death and resurrection moment at the end: The End
It is also called, the Day of the Lord.
Revelation 19v11-18
11 I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war. 12 His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. 15 Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. 16 On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written:king of kings and lord of lords.
17 And I saw an angel standing in the sun, who cried in a loud voice to all the birds flying in midair, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, 18 so that you may eat the flesh of kings, generals, and the mighty, of horses and their riders, and the flesh of all people, free and slave, great and small.”
The final judgment will take place.
The those who have eternal life will be part of God’s eternal kingdom.
Revelation 21v1-6a
Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done.
