World War Three — Nuclear War

Preparing for nuclear war will become increasingly urgent during 2024 as we see the King Herod moment of destruction approaching as described in Daniel 11v40-44. Like birth which is very intense and physical requiring full attention, there will be an urgent rush to organise food, medicine and warm clothes, and safe places to shelter well away from the cities.

We must pray for God’s help and try to anticipate our needs ahead of time. The Cross2Victory ministry is focused especially on reaching out to Christians in leadership who are well placed to guide people to safety, but we also need to understand the real meaning of these events and what God is doing in the world.

Why Prepare?

We must prepare because Jesus told us that wars will happen and the signs and prophecy we are testing are pointing to a climax of war in about the latter part of 2024, or around that time. We will need to be ready so that we can take care of each other, and as many survivors as possible.

If we are ready and able to care for people this will bring great glory to God and a door will be opened to the gospel. God will give us good health and we will be able to continue the ministry afterwards, during the time of revival and repentance when God will give his people the great last days outpouring of his Spirit.

How to Prepare

TAKE ACTION

  • Plan for a safe supply of clean drinking water. We will need good filtration. In many cases ground water will be essential as rain water and river water will become polluted. It is called, “water from the rock”.

  • Store food with a long shelf life, for up to seven years.

  • Guard against rodents. Correct storage is vital to success.

  • Organise fuel and cooking facilities for communal living.

  • Give careful attention to good sanitation and hygiene.

  • Organise extra warm clothes for some very cold weather.

  • Care for some farm animals too for curds and honey. (Isaiah 7v21-22, Noah's Ark, Jesus born in a stable).

  • Organise plenty of light for reading and to make music.

  • Cast out the idols and bring in God’s word - hard copies.

  • Bring the apocryphal books and extra Biblical writings. They often speak of the end times. Jesus read these books himself and quoted from some, but be careful of Gnosticism.

  • Bring instruments for songs of praise and to worship to God.

  • For God’s people, this will be a Pentecost moment, a great awakening, and a time when prophecy is understood in the testimony of Jesus who was born in a stable and escaped the King Herod conflict.

  • This gathering of God's people will be the ultimate ‘boot camp’, a time to study God’s word and to train and equip ourselves so that afterwards we may go back out with the Gospel to complete the great commission.

The world will not end with this kind of war, so don’t fear Pharoah, or the Mount Sinai moment, but lets be ready to look after each other, and to care for as many people as possible.

Prepare for a moment of Birth

The signs are pointing to a moment of birth for the final generation, so we need to discuss Bethlehem, the nativity scene and the danger of King Herod. The due date is also very important to keep in mind. Unlike the end in which the time of death cannot be predicted, we always see birth coming, and a woman calculates her due date. Birth is difficult but it brings blessing to God’s family.

The climax of the end times birth will be nuclear war. This is expected about seven years after the sign of birth: The Revelation 12 sign of 2017, as explained here: Seven Year Warning. We will also see some two year signs, one year signs, and some third month, 50 day or 40 days warning signs which are explained on the ‘Seven Year Warning’ page.

Therefore if the Revelation 12 sign of 2017 proves to be a true sign (and we will soon see yet more signs that confirm) we should expect nuclear war sometime around the latter part of 2024 approximately.

Bethlehem of the End Times Birth

Jesus was born in Bethlehem which means, "House of Bread.” This refers to food. We will need as much as possible for as many people as possible. The famine will likely be about 7 years. We will need food, medicine and warm cloths for a few cold years during a nuclear winter.

Personally, I don’t know anyone with a bunker, but in Australia we are fortunate to have wide open spaces and many farms in the countryside, all with large sheds, barns and stables. In the emergency of nuclear war these places can be used for shelter.

To survive nuclear war we need to work together to prepare places of refuge with plenty of supplies. This will require large scale a community effort.

Nativity Scene

Jesus was born in a stable with the animals. We must consider the Nativity Scene.

Many people moving away from the destruction of war means there will be no accommodation. Jospeh and Mary had nowhere to stay because the Inn was full. So Jesus was born in a stable or a cave. We need to plan to set up ‘Bethlehem communities’ on farms.

Jesus is pictured in the nativity scene with the animals. There will be no fuel supplies for transportation so to be with the animals and caring for the animals will be important for survival. The farm animals will be needing our care as much as we will need them.

Elsewhere in Scripture, typological moments of birth include the story of Noah’s flood in which Noah cared for the animals in the ark. In Isaiah 7 the birth of Immanuel is a clear prophecy about the birth of Jesus, and while the King of Assyria was destroying the land we read:

“In that day, a person will keep alive a young cow and two goats. And because of the abundance of the milk they give, there will be curds to eat. All who remain in the land will eat curds and honey.” — Isaiah 7v21-22.

“Be careful, keep calm and don’t be afraid. Do not lose heart…” — Isaiah 7v4
The sign of war is Immanuel — “God with us”.

To be gathered together in faith communities will be of great importance because God’s appointed times, his festival times are always times of gathering together. We will see God’s miracles and we will praise him with song. Christmas carols will be especially relevant to us as we come through the end times birth successfully. This will be how prophecy is fulfilled apocalyptically.

Think Big: Work with the Government

Joseph was more successful than Noah: During the flood Noah saved just 8 people in the Ark, but Joseph saved all of Egypt and the surrounding nations from the world wide famine. The reason: By the miracle of God Joseph was able to work with the government (Genesis 41).

The lesson to us in this situation: Pray for God’s miracle and that we will have opportunity to be more like Joseph. Consider working with the government and other relevant organisations in your local area. Start building a relationship now or connect with others who are already doing something and start the conversation. Make plans. Put the plans. Test the prophecy, pray for wisdom, and God will make it clear when it is time to put plans into action.

The church always reaches out to help people at times of need, so in the emergency of an imminent nuclear war we will probably see the Government reaching out to churches to make urgent preparations just prior to the war. We have a great opportunity to help many people. If we do what God gives us to do many lives will be saved. It will bring him glory and serve to advance the gospel.

Look at the example of the Exodus. Through working with the Egyptians God’s miracle happened, and a mixed multitude — both Israelites and Egyptians escaped the angel of death in Egypt and set up camp at a safe distance from Mount Sinai.

When Jesus was a baby Kings brought gifts to Joseph and Mary, and it was just what they needed to escape the slaughter of the innocent when Herod pushed the ancient nuclear button.

The Salvation Army is a great example of a Christian organisation who has a good working relationship with the Government. They are well placed to make a huge difference for many people. There are many churches and Christian aid organisations who already have working relationship with secular authorities, and are well placed to scale up their operations at the appropriate time.

Pray for the guidance of God’s spirit and make connections where you can find opportunities to serve. Bless others and be blessed. This will bring great glory to God for the advancement of the gospel. God promises that His people will be successful during the birth pains. We must act according to our faith, with love and in obedience to Jesus so that many lives may be saved.

A Two Stage Exodus

Lot fled to Zoar first. A little later he moved to a cave in the mountains. (Genesis 19v17-21, and 30).

We will be able to help many people in places like Zoar. But we will also need a private family location somewhere much more remote where believers will be able to congregate to care for each other and to study the Word together to understand prophecy and to know what God is doing. There we will also be able to prepare for the gospel mission ahead.

Many professional prepers have made good information available on how to set up a camp in remote areas.

Going it alone is not recommended. God’s appointed times are times of gathering together. Safety and security will be found in numbers through well organised groups, in faith communities who move far away from the cities, setting up camp on farms, in caves, and remote locations.

Through studying the birth of Jesus and other typological examples of birth, God shows us how to prepare for nuclear war. God will help us, and our blessings will overflow so that we will be able to help many people escape the destruction that is coming.

“I will also keep you from the hour of trouble that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth.” — Rev 3v10.

Lets pray for God’s help. He promises to be with us — Immanuel, so that we will have his ark of protection, food during the famine, and a testimony like the testimony of Jesus.

The Worst Five Months

  • The radiation pollution is described as a locust plague, that will cause about 5 months of illness. (Revelation 9v5). And hair loss (Isaiah 7v18-20).

  • Elizabeth hid herself while pregnant for 5 months (Luke 1v24).

  • Noah’s flood imagery pictures people in chaos. The flood will cover the highest mountains — ‘the strongest governments’ for 150 days, or 5 months (Gen 7v24). The tops of the mountains may be thought of symbolically as the rulers of the world (Gen 8v5).

  • For another 150 days the waters slowly went down.

During the flood Noah sealed up the ark. In many places people will want to have sealed living spaces with air filters to stop the radiation entering. At Mount Sinai the people washed their clothes (Exodus 19v10).

The advice is to wash with lots of soap but not to use hair conditioner because it binds particles and radiation close to the skin.

The Spiritual Birth

The purpose of prophecy is always to reveal Jesus and signs are indicating that this war will produce a ‘King Herod’ moment of repentance among God’s people as we are ‘born again’ in the apocalyptic sense, escaping a real conflict, a real slaughter of the innocent. We will put off the old man and put on the new man, putting to death the sinful nature. Jesus fled from the King Herod dragon and waited in Egypt for the old man to die. This is repentance. What Jesus did symbolically we must do in spirit and truth.

If the time is coming for us to act in ways that resemble the life of Jesus apocalyptically, a successful escape from the destruction of nuclear war will resemble Jesus’ escape from King Herod’s slaughter of the innocent — an act of ‘symbolic repentance’.

Symbolic repentance will be good for life in this world, but if combined with genuine faith and true repentance we will be on the way to eternal life in the new creation. So if we combine symbolic repentance with genuine repentance the rest of our life in this world will be to the glory to God.

Never before have God’s people embraced so many idols as we have in this modern society. We have taken on an ‘Egyptian lifestyle,’ but God says, “Out of Egypt I called my son." As we leave the cities prior to nuclear war we must take care to leave the idols behind. Be on guard against the temptation to worship the Golden Calf.

Prepare Scripture, Light and expect God’s Ministry Blessing

Birth is always a blessing for God’s family as God’s Spirit is poured out. Therefore Christians should prepare for a powerful ministry and a great revival which is promised to come with this war.

Scripture will be in high demand. However without the gods of electricity and electronic devices we need to prepare Scripture in hard print, and also light for reading during a dim nuclear winter while we wait for the dust of war to settle.

Nuclear war will cause a much much bigger shut down than COVID did, so lets be prepared to make good use of the time. Lets plan the ultimate ministry training boot camp!

World war three will be a baptism (1 Cor 10v2), so expect the dove to descend from heaven with a great outpouring of God’s Spirit. The ministry of the christ child generation of the last days will be like that of Moses and Elijah.

STUDY

To prepare for this time of trouble we need to understand the nature of the threat:

We need to reach out to encourage each other not to fear this war, but to act in faith. God is with us and he promises a successful escape for his people, because we have the gospel of Jesus.

Nuclear war will destroy a third of the world, and kill more than 2 Billion people (Rev 9v15). The nuclear winter will cause a seven year famine.

On the positive side, two thirds of people will survive, the sun will come out again, and when the dove brings back the olive branch we will know that it’s safe to disembark from the Ark.

Prepare for a Life Long Journey

Birth begins a testimony, a life long journey of faith. Prophecy always serves to reveal Jesus, and we need to consider his whole life. The journey of the final generation will produce a pattern of events that reveals the life of Jesus symbolically:

  1. Birth and Escape

  2. Life and Ministry

  3. Death and Resurrection

Not the end

Some people tell me that they don’t believe world war three will happen, or if it does they say it will be the end of the world. However Jesus tells us the exact opposite:

“you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet… these are but the beginning of the birth pains.” — Mat 24v6 & 8.

The end will actually come much later, during a time of peace (1 Thess 5v3).

Currently we see a major war coming, so Jesus tells us the end is ‘not yet’, which means we need to get ready to manage the famine, nuclear radiation, disease and hardship.

As we plan and prepare for world war three lets continue to remind each other that there is an even more important birth to consider:

The spiritual birth:
Do you have a good relationship with Jesus? Have you been ‘born again?’ If you aren't sure, the Gospel of Jesus is about preparing our hearts so that we may be genuine servants of his kingdom, and later — when our work here is done, that we may enter the new creation.

The first enemy to escape is the enemy of sin. Coming to Jesus means turning away from sin. This involves the flesh / spirit struggle of repentance. This is our own ‘King Herod’ moment, and the victory comes through being in Christ.

Christians understand the spiritual birth clearly, but the end times birth is an unfamiliar concept. However remarkable signs are drawing our attention to the urgent need to pray for wisdom and to test this concept (1 Thess 5v21). I believe it is time for action.

Please make sure all the Christian leaders from the various churches in your area understand the concept of the end times birth, and are prayerfully considering what can be done to care for people.
